This week, I thought a lot about where I was exactly 1 year ago. Just over a year ago, I dared to step out on my own and start designing full time. At the time, I thought it was a combination of the craziest/dumbest/irrational/logical option out there. I figured if I could make it last a few months, then I’d be happy. 1 whole year later and I’m still doing what I love – I’m made plenty mistakes, learnt a ton, and have even more desire to grow this little design company of mine! So it’s been a long week of reflection, and a year later I’m still glad I did it. Oh yeh.

In between all the reflection, I planned a rather awesome Halloween party for a few friends. It was quite a bash, even if it was a more relaxed one than last year! I happen to have some amazing friends of mine who love to dress up as much as I do! The house was madly decorated, cupcakes made, sweets brought, food organised and lots of hilarious photos taken. Halloween isn’t a huge thing here in South Africa, but we made it huge for ourselves. Totally worth it!

Now that the past few months of madness have finally been put aside, I’m really looking forward to the next few weeks left of the year and what comes my way. I’m working on some design work for a new media company, wedding service company, and a rather fancy restaurant too! I can’t wait to show them to you all when I’m finished, I’m loving every minute that I work on them.
