Well, today is The Ginger Creative’s 1 year birthday of being full time! It’s been a hectic year, but I’ve accomplished so much and enjoyed every last bit of it! Man, I haven’t regretted it one little bit. To every client and every supporter – thank you for being there and making this first year happen! Here’s to many more years, and more growth and exciting design work!

So, I thought last week was busy. I had no idea what was about to hit me this week! Wowza! Last week, after much deliberation, I decided to sell my car. It was quite badly damaged and would cost me double what I’d just paid to have fixed. So, she’s going to the mechanic’s son who’s an apprentice mechanic, and will hopefully be giving her some much needed TLC and bring her back to life! Since then, I’ve been without a car, and was able to borrow my boyfriend’s mum’s car. We borrowed it earlier for a little holiday, and what a great car it is! Sadly, I’m still on a mission to find the right car for me – it’s killing me to not have one, but I don’t want to settle on any old car just so I have some wheels! Ah, the joys of being a petrolhead!

Apart from a couple of small projects still running in the background, I got to do some cool Halloween designs, and I’ve been prepping our house for a party on Saturday. Got the costume sorted, makeup planned, house decorated and some cool cupcakes to bake. I’m also spending some time at the Photo and Film Expo, it’s my favourite show of the year, and I get to see some friends and listen to some awesome talks! It’s like going back to uni again – taking in some much needed knowledge and fresh perspectives on photography and running a business.
